The thing is.... I have this problem recently and I don't think it has anything to do with mailbox size. It may have to do with fragmentation though. I restrict to 20MB per box. The issue I am seeing goes away when I disable Imail monitoring service. The monitoring service thinks the webmail is down and tries to restart it and sends it into conniptions. I have disabled it to test if that would help and has stopped webmail crashing. I will reenable it soon and change the interval at which it checks for the services to see if a longer period would have any effect.

Hi Jerry,

I Have the same problem, iwebmsg hogs CPU, I`ve had to reboot the NT server cause it wouldnt respond, I upgraded to 7.13 and still get the same problem.

I have a Dual PIII power Edge server with 12,000 users.

I am thinking of disabling iwebmsg and send everyone through pop or maybe other webmail solution.

Hope you fixed yours.

You need to upgrade/patch 6.04 to 6.06 and make sure you apply 6.06 hotfix after upgrading, that should fix it unless there are other issues with you box...

All I do is stop then restart web messaging and it's OK till the processor pegs again, it's happening a half dozen times a day.

Is it just HTPPS:  That fails?  I have to stop all services and restart to get it going.  Just starting Webservices doesnt cut it!

I am running 6.04 on a PIII / NT4 with 256mg ram I have about 1200 clients and here is my problem.

This has been going on for months, some one or some thing is pegging my processor to near 100% which nearly stops and often does stop the web messaging service.

I have watched the task manager and it does indicate that it is web messaging that is doing it. I am trying to figure out if one of my clients is doing this some how but I can't seem to see it in the logs. I do not allow relaying if that helps.

HELP
