Good, glad someone else is having the same problem...we too are going to a unix-base listserv...have an engineer on that task right now. Too may problems. We have a list that is 5600 and growing daily...there are NOT duplicate addresses on the list...I've checked that personally...and some users STILL get two messages. My name is on the list...and I get two or three messages...exasperating. We dumped the entire list into a Linux Majordomo list server...NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM...so there IS a problem with this list server and/or the SMTP server. <you said...> Yes I have the same problem, and a host more. I have been pleading with Ipswitch to update their ListServ since November of last year and have not seen one step toward that goal since. The ListServ is a great basic starting listserv but is not a very good product for large lists or hosts that deal with a lot of mailing lists. It's just too basic for meaningful administration. I have waited, and didn't want to do this but we'll be scrapping the IMail Listserv soon for a UNIX listserv shortly. It might be more work for me initially, but against the pitiful listserv administrative capabilities I'm left with little choice. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of The Innkeeper > Sent: Saturday, June 05, 1999 8:59 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] list server > > > We have a bunch of folks using Outlook98 and are not having any > problems at all subscribing to the system...Have not seen the > duplicate message problem yet (knock on wood)... > > Steve May > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Stephen Lack <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Saturday, June 05, 1999 8:51 PM > Subject: [IMail Forum] list server > > > > Hello all. > > Using 5.04...I've always had a problem with the list server. > > One of our domains is running a large list...and the list server > > keeps sending duplicate messages to SOME, not all, of the users. > > Anyone else seen this problem?
