Sorry about the wierd look of these posts, but I can't simply
reply to the list with my outlook client...I have to cut and
paste the messages (for reference) into the web-base email
as outlook98 is ignored by the list server.
I'm a pretty experienced sysadmin...and I've checked the obvious
stuff...reply-to, yada, yada, yada...all configured correctly.
Indeed, I'm able to join a host of other lists (microsoft, ASP
list server, and our own unix-based lists here) with no problem..
its just the lists served by the Imail list server. Strange.
The really strange thing is I get NO error...just gets ignored
by the list server...I don't even get a response. Now, the only
thing that might be different than everyone else is that I'm
going through and Exchange server...maybe THAT's the problem...

The first thing I would look at is what the "Reply To" address is.
I had this once when I subscribed to a mailing list from web
messaging. Not realizing or thinking about the Reply To in
web messaging reading [EMAIL PROTECTED] So when
I posted a message from Outlook which used the format
[EMAIL PROTECTED] all the messages to the list were rejected.
It miffed me a little but I fixed it by un-subscribing from the list,
changing the web interface to read [EMAIL PROTECTED] and then
going back to my Outlook client.
What type error do you get when you attempt to subscribe from
Outlook?
