Dan,

  Look in your registry with regedt32.  I would guess that
somehow a domain got renamed.  The older userids may still
be their under a different domain name.  Re-linking the
domain with the proper IP address will get you all the users
(and their passwords) back.

HKLM/Software/Ipswitch/Imail/
