As I said, I will only BCC: to the alias and I plan on making it VERY non-mnemonic -
something along the line of "rkfp4ewqo9ap" or something like that. If I ever do
accidentally send directly to the alias, I'll just delete it and create another.

This happened to me with a list not long ago. A Spammer managed to
hit the list as well as a good number of aliases with his spew. This
actually
resulted in user thinking we were the ones sending the SPAM.

list to ensure an up-to-date mailing, but want to hide the address from the
recipients so THEY can't use it. I need it as an alias so I can perform
these mailings remotely if need be. I'm going to BCC: the mailall.exe alias
and fill the To: field with a nonexistent address that still sounds
descriptive, such as "hitter-team".

using makelist.exe. This list is restricted by owner for sending. I would
like to switch to an alias for mailall.exe, but I notice it shows the alias
it is mailed to. Is there either a way I can restrict who can send to this
alias OR a way to change the "To:" field? I see the CLI has options for
"From:" and "Subject:". Ipswitch? Maybe in 5.06?
