LDAP, whois and finger are three ways for people on the internet to find
information about an email address (name, phone, address.... etc...). I
have found out that most of our customers frown upon the idea of having
any personal information accessible that way, so I have those services
stopped. IMAP is just like POP3 but the messages are managed and stay
on the mail server, as opposed to being on the client's computer. You
usually want one or the other....unless you want to offer your customers
the option of normal email or just web-based email.
