Well, it would be better if your test was conclusive.
I've wondered about that myself, and have been meaning to test.

You mean for them to be able to unsubscribe themselves?
(Users.txt can be empty - so at least for distribution, nobody HAS to be on
both lists.)
The manual says that the subscriber's name has to match the name in
users.txt
So if they give IMail a different name, an auto unsub won't work.
Until I test this theory, I'm going to assume that since no one's "Sender"
setting is going to be blank, no subscriber can successfully unsub, because
they can't get a match.
I've got hundreds of addresses in some users.lst files without associated
names that I would gladly add to users.txt - if I thought it would do them
any good.
