I appologize upfront if this is a stupid question. I've been working on a
solution for this problem for quite some time now and can't seem to find an
answer.
I have quite a few existing clients that I'm moving from an outsourced mail
host to our own mail server running IMail 5. Our current outsourced mail
servers allow users to enter just the domain name (ie. microsoft.com) as the
pop server. I can't seem to figure out how to allow this to happen on the
IMail server.
I have a box as our web server and dns and a second box as our mail server.
I'm using virtual hosts in IMail along with virtual servers (in IIS4.0 to
host the domains), so I only have one IP address assigned to each machine.
I'd really like to figure this problem out so that I can have a seamless
transition for my clients.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
