This is just a stab in the dark, but I'm wondering if a network issue is
causing this problem. My understanding was that the T files don't
change to Q files until the smtp session was done. Obviously the smtd
session is never ending. Do you have anyway of capturing packets to see
the real smtp conversation? I don't know if that will help or not, but
that's probably the next step I would take.
I also like the idea of a corrupt hard drive though... Sounds very
plausible...
