This has been the case with Imail 8.22 also. You could have your
program alias delete it after it completes. IMail must not delete it
because if it just spawns a process, it would have to track the process to
determine when to delete the .tmp file.

another small problem with ICS2006.3
I just checked my spool directory and found lots of temporary files. All
files follow the naming scheme tmp***.tmp where *** is a three digit hex
number. All files are 2KB in size. Checking the content of the files I
found that all are valid e-mails that were sent to an alias of type
"Program". In my case it is a MailSniffer update announcement that comes
in several times a day. The mails are received correctly and trigger the
related CMD file so my MailSniffer updates do work. But IMail leaves such
a spool file every time.
Just a small glitch?
