Your question isn't clear.

Do  you  mean "a remote IP that is trusted as if every connection from
that IP is authenticated" or "a remote IP whose 'authenticated' header
markup  is treated as equivalent to local authentication" or "a server
that  has  a  separate userbase that the IMail SMTPD can auth against"
or... ?
