After spending all day chasing down this problem, I've finally figured out
the problem: our Exchange server was set up to send all messages within the
domain as RTF, and technically, our IMail server is within the domain.
(We're running dual mail servers. Well, we're still trying to. <g>)

So, the actual problem is, the web messaging does not recognize an
attachment if it's sent via an RTF message.

I can't find any information about this on the ipswitch knowledge base. Does
anyone have any info about this? I've sent a message to ipswitch support.
Seems like a bug to me. I don't expect the web messaging to display all the
RTF formatting, but it should be able to handle the attachments.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks - Dave

Subject: [IMail Forum] Web Messaging - Attachments from Exchange

We're using the 6.02 web templates. If someone using Outlook in "Exchange
mode" sends a message with an attachment, the attachment doesn't show up in
the ReadMail page. I believe this is because the attachments are being send
"inline". Messages sent using Outlook in POP3/SMTP mode work fine.

This appears to be a bug in the web messaging, but I can't find anything in
IPSwitch's knowledge base. Scanning my mailing list messages, I see frequent
complaints about attachments, but not this particular problem.

Does anyone know if this is really a bug? Is there a fix?

Thanks - Dave
