a) my assumption is that ipswitch is peopled with uniformly nice 
people, and that it's the lawyers who make this happen.

b) you could have a less restrictive "support only for the original 
purchaser, otherwise the license is  transferrable" sort of license 
if you wanted to - as things stand otherwise, one literally owns 
nothing.

c) the reason for this note: what is ipswitch's stand on UCITA - will 
you leave the language of your licenses as they now stand, or will 
you implement the full capabilities allowed by UCITA, if it becomes 
the law of the land?
