I'm also not a MRTG expert. Here our config:
First Line of mrtg.cfg:
WorkDir: O:\mrtgroot\server\mail\001
O: is mapped from the Webserver
Target Line:
Target[index]: -`I:\spool\imrtg.exe i:\spool /l:1 /s:2`
I: is mapped from the mailserver. Imrtg can also be placed on local pc.
