Not enough experience here to deal with your first question--it's not been
reported to me. But the second one is basically, no. Some email clients can
request receipt and/or read confirmation, but I, for example, have turned
off my client's replies to all such requests. Only proprietary email systems
which control mail delivery from start to finish can arrange dependable
receipt notifications, like QuickMail (within your own firm) or AOL (but
only within AOL). Once your mail gets out on the net, it's gone. We have
enough email traffic as it is without read/received notices doubling the
volume ;-)

Subject: [IMail Forum] OutlookExpress Problems
Hi,
Having problems with OutlookExpress client.
Somtimes messages show in web mail, but cannot be downloaded with OE
client, this mostly happens after I delete all messages via web messaging.
Only solution that works is to change the pop server name in OE, and replace
it with the IP adress.
Question 2:
Can wee get a confirmation that the receiver read the message?
