Not sure about this problem!  Been discussed here befre, but unsure of a fix.

If your server has mail going thru it, there is a SMTP32 running.  This is what sends 
the messages out, therefore for each message currently trying to be sent, there will 
be a smtp32 running.  After the message is sent the smtp goes away.
