David,

Why don't you make the domain name the official host name at the same time?

Official Host Name in IMail:
mydomain.com

DNS Zone File mydomain.com.db:
@ IN SOA serv.myprovider.net. hostmaster.myprovider.net 2000031401 10800
3600 604800 10800
@ IN NS serv.myprovider.net.
@ IN NS serv.myotherprovider.net.@ IN MX 10 @
@ IN A 192.168.100.45

Reverse Zone File 100.168.192.in-addr.arpa:
@ IN SOA serv.myprovider.net. hostmaster.myprovider.net 2000031401 10800
3600 604800 10800
@ IN NS serv.myprovider.net.
@ IN NS serv.myotherprovider.net.
45 IN PTR mydomain.com.

This way, you wouldn't have to mess with the (virtual) hostnames...

Note: @ is resolved to the domain name within the zone file and is commonly
used to assign proper web links to domain names, e.g. http://ipswitch.com

Betreff: [IMail Forum] Web Messaging Tags

Anyone familiar with Web Messaging:

I am working on a project to release Web Messaging under a custom design. I
am having trouble with a few of the tags and maybe I just don't know how to
use them yet.

My problem:
Our official host name is always different than the actual domain name used
in email addresses. For example --- mail.web-ster.com is our official host
name under IMail, where web-ster.com is the host alias to allow email
addresses like [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED]
