Getting your hands on FreeBSD and postfix, for this "relay/spam appliance"
project on old hardware will be rewarding, maybe even "fun". It'll do
wonders for your resum! vbg

It's looking pretty good. If you want a smell the aroma (baking's not
done), I can send you a zip of the .html version of the help files and
manual pages. (any "me-too's" please request off list, thx).
If you've got 700 megs of free disk space and Adaptec CD Creator, go ahead
and ftp the FreeBSD 3.4 Release cdrom .iso image file from (use an ftp
client, not a browser):
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/ISO-IMAGES/3.4-install.iso
or other ftp mirror sites. In CD Creator, Files:Make from image file, it
will give you a bootble FreeBSD 3.4 cdrom (if your cd writer can burn
bootables).
Or buy the excellent FreeBSD book and CDset from Walnut Creek (to support
the project).
I will also be putting up a request-only "users" mailing to support the
effort. There are 3 postfix user lists, but you better have RTFM, they
don't suffer newbies looking to be spoonfed. It doesn't matter, we'll look
after our own. vbg
