I've been using Trend InterScan 3 for a while now and I've been very
happy. I checked out NAV for Internet E-mail Gateways and NAI WebShield
SMTP but was disappointed with both. I also looked at Mail Essentials
but found it ran to slow for my taste.
You can install InterScan on your IMail server but it really works
better on a separate machine (I'm running mine on a MS Proxy server).
The only thing about InterScan that bugs me is the quarantine feature.
If a message is sent to the quarantine folder, you have to manually move
it to the SMTP queue folder if you still want it sent (mostly an issue
with the content-filtering feature).
