Kirk,
These msg's yesterday prompted me to look into IMGate's (postfix) ETRN
support, since if the Imail admin brings in the mail through IMGate just to
dump in Imail for ETRN pickup, why not just leave it on IMGate for ETRN
pickup. Indeed, why not ? vbg
postfix's transport.map file defines how (protocol) and where (next hop
address) to transport mail to what domain file, and will hold mail for a
domain like this:
keyconn.net HOLD:[keyconn.net]
postfix won't try to deliver, but when postfix receives ...
SMTP ETRN keyconn.net
... it will flush the hold queue of all mail queued for keyconn.net.
Just another way to lighten the burden on Imail, if one uses IMGate for
spam defense.
