Doug,
First, when using the NT DB, IMail does not allow for the creation or
deletion of user accounts, that MUST be done using the NT tools. Note:
Password changes must also be done using NT tools.
Second, you do not need to delete the NT users to switch to a different DB.
Just set the domain to use the IMail DB and 'save' and you will now see no
users (except for root). Now you can 'import' the NT users.
