Well, guess I'm embarassed (a little, I've been known to do this before, so
I don't think it is a big embarassement)! I thought I cut/pasted the domain
name into my tool to check, but ....

This only changes the Version of IMail I see you are running. You have a
similiar configuration (IMail says 'kcweb.net', MX says 'mail.kcweb.net').
So the same questions would  apply!

Now, who is LOL!

I also used the info you sent in a Support email to access the system and I
note that via Web Msg, kcweb.net shows up twice in the list of domains. That
is NOT normal and could mean that you have configured the domain twice, or
have some configuration messed up that makes IMail think it has 2 distinct
domains (but seems to share the same set of users).
