Understood, but by virtue it makes the solution free and available to be run

equipment NT would make you toss in the dumpster.
Would you ignore if it was an "appliance" solution.

and I'll always welcome repsonses from people who keep thinking outside
the box, this will lead to innovations.
BTW, I have yet to do an IMGATE because I want to understand FreeBSD
or LINUX better before I implement a solution like this. But ignorance of a
possible solution would be a worse alternative in my mind.
