I double checked everything and it is still happening. I started when I
changed the directory for the main domain. But I have since put it back.

Make sure you've specified the correct path to your primary web directory in
the IMail Admin console, web messaging tab; you're describing the main
symptom of an incorrect path. You may need to stop and restart the web msg
service after making a path change.
