Nothing in the kb, and nothing my own list archives so ....

I moved a bunch of small lists from post.office to Imail 5.09 by creating
empty lists in web msging and then pasting the email addresses into each
users.lst, where a line is formatted:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Then I looked at all the list in web msging who found tahty all was cool.

Then I tried to modify an address, worked fine, but Imail wrote it back as:

<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Which is right: with or without the envelope characters?

But the real pb is that when any member sends a mail to the list, the list
server rejects the msg saying unauthorized poster, and then delivers the
msg to the list anyway.

There is another list that works just fine.

Here's the reject msg for msg that was both bounced and delivered to all
the list:

Article rejected, un-authorized poster of [EMAIL PROTECTED]
