When we first set up our Cell 1 phones this way we would only get messages
intermittently. After a long struggle with tech support we made changes to
our phone's configuration and solved the problem. It turned out to be that
sometimes our phones were connecting analog and would not get messages then.
It turned out to be a coincidence that we got the messages when we sent
tests. We now have our phones configured to use "HOME TYPE NETWORK" only...
and that seems to solve the trouble.

Also, we discovered that there is a "VERY SPECIFIC" email address format for
sending the messages... if we sent to more than one address, the messages
would not get through even though they were delivered. We also had trouble
on occasion with quoted names, <these things>, and one or two other
more-or-less standard formats. The only thing that seems to work is raw
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Anything else seems to confuse the messaging
software on the receiving end.

For multiple notifications, the solution was to set up an alias on the mail
server and let it send the specific messages out to multiples... each one
getting it's own message.

Hope some of this helps.

P.S. I know there are folks out there that have messaging working through
the modem without a problem,... we haven't even got the box to dial out...
although it sees the modem and does not throw any errors... it just doesn't
work... it's a low priority project for us, so I don't want to raise a
"stink"... but if anybody had to nudge their box a certain way to make it
work, I'd love to hear the story in case there's something we haven't tried.
Thanks!

Did you need to do any special formatting to the messages for this to
work? I have the same thing set up with a @mobile.att.net address but don't
get any notification messages. I do get the test messages fine, and my logs
show the notification messages getting accepted by the att.net server, but
the notification messages never make it to my phone.
I'm guessing that there might be something in the variables that WUG
sends that's keeping the att.net system from sending the messages to the
phone.
