I think your orignial post indicated you were using Visual FoxPro.
I don't have any experience with FoxPro and Imail.  (I do have some
experience with FoxPro but I do it so rarely that I always have a hard time
even making the connection string work.)

However, my system works great on Sql7.
The directions were quite accurate except that I had to make sure that I set
up my DSN string:
DSN;UID=myuid;PWD=mypwd;DB=my_imail_db

and I found it always worked best if I let IMAIL create the tables.

I switched to Mike Nice's odbc dll instead of the Imail supplied dll:
http://home.att.net/~niceman/

I suppose this should work about the same with vFP but I just have
insufficient experience with it to know the nuances.
