You may need a better email to fax solution.
Take a look at www.faximum.com. I tried it in conjunction wilt imail a year
or 2 ago. You setup accounts on the faximum server that will be receiving
email. Then with imail rules you can forward faxbound messages to the
faximum server.
The faximum server then faxes the emails out for you. There is a log file
you can use for billing folks who use the service or just to audit faxes.
You can also use a modem pool cause faximum allows multiple faxes. It
handles ascii and also will convert images and fax those as well.
It's not too expensive but there is a per user licence fee. I find such
licences annoying, but with email to fax, if you are letting people use it,
you have real expenses on the telco side, so a little more up front to get
the license is not all that bad. (actually it's still bad). Anyway I think
it ends up being like $5 - $6 one time fee per user on the licencing side.
I have no experience with the current version, like I said it was a year or
two ago.
