For some reason now I have about 20 people on my back because it sent out 3
emails to every person that was in the list! How can this happen? If someone
could help this would be great@!

Jared,
You need an answer, too?
BTE, the subject of the response will be the same as what you sent,
so you can tell a bit more quickly, if it is a response to you.
OK. Here it is.
First, one or more messages in the Queue (\imail\spool) is bad and
this is most likely causing SMTP32 (the delivery process) to fail to
close as they should. If you open Task Manager, sort by name and see
30 SMTP32s, your system is maxed out. Get your hands on KILL.EXE for
the NT resource kit and stop the SMTP32s (or restart the computer,
slower, but will work). Now do the directory rename thing and move
one Q and the matching D (names and extensions are the same except
for the first letter) back into c:\imail\spool. Now using the View
Queue, you can see that file, highlight and click Send One button.
If the message gets delivered (SMPT32 starts on the click and stops
some time later, time is dependant on number of recipients!), then
continue moving file pairs back into \spool.
Yea, this can take a long time, but it will show you the bad message.
Alternately, you could move a bunch of pairs and see what happens.
If the Queue clears in a reasonable time, move some more files. If
SMTP32 processes build up again, then one of the files in the queue
is bad and you should delete or move it out.
