We just installed an IMail server (version 6) and I was playing around with rules trying to limit the types of attachments that can be sent. As a result I have two questions. First, is there any way to block attachments types by person? For example, I don't really want people getting EXE files but I occasionally send zipped, self-extracting exe's of some large reports. I want mine to get through but not the others which is probably too much to ask. But I thought there might be a way to say at the top of the rules list that if the senders address is mine place in the current mailbox. Which I guess you could do if you made each rules file different. But is there a shorthand way of saying put the message in the current user's mailbox so that all the rules files could be the same? Second, I guess I'm really trying to recreate some of the functionality of some of the mail-scanning packages like MailSweeper. Does anyone have experience with a package like this working with IMail and am I better off pursuing that option? Thanks for any information!
