>He has not been able to get Exchange to pull queued mail via ETRN.

Let's see some Imail logs from when exchange is sending ETRN domain.com
command, please. search on "ETRN"

You've put his fixed ip and domain name in your Imail NT hosts file?

You can see his incoming mail queued up in your Imail queue?

You see Imail's "mx connnect" fails in your Imail logs when he is off-line?

>Today he requested that he been assigned an IP from the /24 reserved for my
>hosts rather than from the dialup pool. Will this make any difference?

It "shouldn't", but this is computing, right??

When his dial-up connection is up, can he ping and traceroute from his
exchange box to your imail box and get reasonable results? And you do the
same from Imail to his exchange box?

>His sys admin seems to think so.

I know this is an unfair question, but why?
