hmmm, the Imail log is, doh, the key to What's Goin' On. Imail sorta
'signs' every successful msg delivery (local, remote, or gateway) with the
"xdeliver" (l,r,g) log lines. If a duplicate is really being sent by Imail
20 times, then you 'should' see 20 nearly identical xdeliver lines in the log.
Are the duplicates to local mailboxes (ldeliver lines) or remote/gateway
mailboxes?
>Where should I be looking?
see above
>Is there are reason why Imail sends out duplicates
if a remote sending session does not terminate completely, then Imail could
conclude that the msg was not delivered, queue the msg, and retry
later. Now if the receiver was actually receiving the msg, but just
blowing the SMTP dialog with Imail, repeatedly, then the recipient would
see dupes.

btw, Ipswitch has clearly invested a bunch in their Imail docs and KB,
which are not "duplicate" efforts, vbg, but highly complementary. get the
kb habit:
http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19990108-JK01.htm which complements my
possibility above.
and (will definitely line wrap)
