So my Imail server recently got put on the ORBS
blackhole list. In light of this, I've realized that I have to make SMTP AUTH
mandatory. I upgraded my test Imail server to 6.04, and I've started testing
SMTP AUTH. What I've found so far is this:
For the account [EMAIL PROTECTED], I can login
with the username "user", but not with [EMAIL PROTECTED] . This is not
really a problem because the default domain is comvision.com, and we all login
without the @defaultdomain.com anyway.
The big problem is that I have not been able to
authenticate users in virtual domains at all. If the account is [EMAIL PROTECTED], I've tried user, [EMAIL PROTECTED], user%virtual.com, [EMAIL PROTECTED],
and none of these work.
What I need to get working is SMTP AUTH with the
login [EMAIL PROTECTED], since
that's what all my users use to login for POP3/IMAP, and many email programs
won't let you specify a different username for POP3 and SMTP AUTH.
Can anyone shed some light on this
situation?
Thanks in advance!
Leon
