Not following the advice I give others, I applied the 6.04 patch as soon as it came out, only to find that our Eudora mail clients are having some trouble with this version.

Could have fooled me ..:)  been running great without a hitch for us, a relatively large base of Eudora clients.

Users are receiving messages with no body.

We've had this happen a couple times. They're not running any virus scanning proxies on their client, are they? Products such a norton anti-virus will cause stuff like this to happen quite frequently. In all honestly, we have had it happen on Imail 6.x with nothing in between though, but it wasn't specific to 6.04.

God knows Eudora has enough problems

Sure he does, but I doubt he gets much email...

Eudora really has been relatively stable for us.

2) Do any of you know how to downgrade the server. Tried just reapplying the 6.03 patch, but that didn't work.

Seeing as though your doing just that, patching files, by nature it's not going to go backwards very smoothly. You might want to install from your 6.x disks and patch up.

Gives an error about a missing file... and there is nothing in the add/remove control panel.

This generally happens when you had an application or window open when you performed the patch. You didn't leave the control panel open while patching, did you? If you go from the original disks, set the imail services to manual, reboot, close everything that starts on boot, and install. :)
