Only if the anti-virus software can read the database you keep the users' accounts in. 
 I know that WebShield SMTP can't read any of them.

My next project after my IMail anti-spam program is going to be a program that will 
allow you to use command-line antivirus programs with IMail, which will allow a 
simpler, cheaper anti-virus solution (it will allow you to use SMTP auth, won't 
require costly SMTP anti-virus software, will scan all E-mail, won't have the extra 
overhead of 2 SMTP transfers, will bypass bugs in SMTP anti-virus software, etc.).
