I replied to someone personally who asked if the domains that won't work for
me were virtual hosts. I told him that even those that were not virtually
hosted with an external database were not allowing me to use SMTP-AUTH but I
was wrong. I re-checked it and found that those domains I use which are
virtual domains won't work with smtp-auth whereas those that are not virtual
domains work with the regular user. So I was wrong when I posted to that
person.
So, the sentense in red in the above link does reflect my situation. It
works with non-virtual domains but not with virtual domains. Our servers
are using Access (for now) as a back-end.
