I have been viewing various discussions about gateway security which I am
currently having problems with. I have tried to follow various suggestions
but I am still having problems.
I am using Imail as the email server for a business park. It sits behind a
firewall and is connected to the business park LAN.
Some users only use the web mail.
Some users use POP3 or IMAP either on the local network or via the Internet.
Some users have their own Email Server on the local network so I forward
this mail across the local network using entries in the hosts file.
Despite trying many things I either leave the server wide open or I bounce
the mail for some users. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
