I've setup a number of clients with MDaemon and have found it to be a very capable server. Has some nice features that IMail should incorporate, like integrated MAPS/UBL support for one. AND it DOES NOT use the registry - which drives me nuts about IMail! IMHO, the registry is NOT a database for applications and should not be used as such. I've never had one problem with my MDaemon installs. Not as familiar with IMail as I am with MDaemon, but from what I've seen so far - if I had to lay out money today for a new mail server, MDaemon would win....
