You missed one important piece; the IP address that you connected to.
If you connected to either of the MX records for bigonthenet.com (which you
almost certainly did, as they are both on the krdl.org.sg domain, which the
server you connected to responded as), then it is their fault.
bigonthenet.com claims that those 2 mail servers accept mail for their
domain, but the response you are getting shows that they don't. This is
actually fairly common for secondary MX records (although their second MX
wasn't responding properly when I tried connecting to it).
The only way it could be your fault is if you connected to the wrong server.
But, that is unlikely. I'm guessing either you connected to the secondary
and it choked on the domain, or you connected to the A record for the domain
(which should only happen if neither the primary or secondary respond).
