There is no way to edit a users directory in the registry.

None of my settings are incorrect. It creates all new users in the correct
directory on the d drive but still looks to the c drive for all users who
were created prior to moving the domain directories. Once a user is created
in a certain place, that directory can NOT be moved EVER or the old users
will remain in the old location which can not be edited by the registry,
imail administrator or any other method.......according to Ipswitch.

I have the official word from Ipswitch for everyone

According to a supervisor at Ipswitch here is how it goes there.

You can have the imail directory on any drive you want. However they will
not offer any support to you if you store any directories on any other drive
our outside of the Imail main directory. PERIOD! They also state that it
was not designed to use any more then one drive or move/put/place/create any
domains on any other drive or location other then the default Imail
directory and once there you can't move it unless you want to manually
delete and re-create the user accounts!

Sounds like a product designed for good growth to me! Had I known that I
would not have selected to install Imail on the small c drive partition in
NT 4.0

I suggest you edit the Registry directly - or at least look there to see
which of your settings are incorrect:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail\
Look for general settings under 'Global' and individual accounts under
'Domains'. This will show you the values IMail is using.

Basically, it is simple. I moved everyone from the c drive to the
d drive by moving all the folders and setting each domain to point
to the new drive.....which it DOES. And all NEW users created get
created in the new directory/drive like I wanted. But the users
who were created before the move can NOT be moved by any method I
have found. As soon as those accounts log on or check their
email, a new directory is created on the old drive (c).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to move users whos
accounts point to the wrong drive/directory?
