I followed both steps I upgraded the system to 6.05, then rebooted my system
- the 6.05 odbcuser.dll was my original problem last Thursday - so I took
your advice and copied the old odbcuser.dll. All is working. Thanks again
for your help. I bet I went through 5 tech support folks at Ipswitch, and I
was still not where I needed to be. Thanks again for your help.

I wouldn't say that. I haven't seen a single post about the new
odbcuser.dll not working in version 6.05.
Since Kim did not specify which piece of advise she took it would be hard to
say. She did post earlier that she found after the upgrade to 6.05 the
domains on the Imail server had switched from using exteral database to
Imail database and once she changed them back things started working. I'm
not sure why that changed, I've upgraded several Imail machines to 6.05 and
never had that happen. My best guess is that Kim followed hint No. 1 and
just rebooted the server and life for her is well.
The reason for No. 2 is that many people run their own modified versions of
the odbcuser.dll (especially if you are using MySQL) and it very well
could have been her company was and she was not aware of that fact. Also,
she was having trouble and needed a fix fast. The quickest/easiest fix is
to go back to what was working.
