You are mistaken. I use Declude with McAfee. You must not be familiar
with the way it works. My DAT files are even updated daily all
automatically by McAfee VirusScan NT. Then each email that goes out
or comes in is scanned with all of their attachments by the McAfee
VirusScan utility. In addition it does spam screening using RBL, DUL,
etc. I could be wrong, but McAfee appears to use the same DAT files
for all of their products. Certainly VirusScan for NT Server uses the
same DAT as their SMTP gateway. The primary difference is that Declude
works inside the Imail scheme for SMTP screening. It is extremely easy
to install, low in cost, and works great.
Declude already uses the resources of top command line virus scanner
companies and the RBL, DUL, etc. databases without the cost of a separate
server. It runs beautifully right within Imail. I have yet to see a
virus get through this setup. It works very very well.
