I have actualy the same problem with some mailservers that makes an NS-Lookup about sending mail-hosts. The sending mail-hosts are all from ITALY an behind the MIX (Milano Internet ExchangePoint) I've heard the MIX currently have big trouble with their routers (high packet loss ...) and not all DNS-Servers behind them are currently reachable within around 120 seconds.
