We have developed our version of user group management as a snippet that
handles local server files.
It keeps one only file in the directory of each one of your users which
handles the info: group/e-mail.

The call from the templates of Imail is in the form of Popups that can post
data (live preprocessor data, php) to their child and then when the child
processes all its info, it post the data back to their parent (course, as a
javascript code).

Hope that helps.
