Yes, it gets it from the user accounts. It also offers encrypted
authentication.
My source of confusion on the "ports" question arises from the Win2K help
file. It states that:
"TCP PORT: This designates the TCP port used for outgoing transmissions.
The default port is 25, which is the SMTP standard TCP port."
There is another place in the setup for an Input TCP port, which also
defaults to 25, but the help file states that this port cannot be shared
with another virtual SMTP server, unless the IP addresses differ. I was
planning on using a nonstandard port for this option, so this isn't an
issue.
However, I'm still quite confused about setting the output TCP port. Only
one port number can be designated in the setup (not a range, such as all
port over 1025).
