Scott,
I guess I do not understand you need, so you need to tell me more about
where you are getting these 'names' and how you intend to use them in IMail
(like to create a bunch of accounts or to setup each persons email client).
Unless you are using virtual domains without IP addresses, IMail needs only
the 'username' (and of course passwords) for SMTP/POP3/Web MSG access.
'Domain Name' portion is resolved, to connect to the IP of the mail server,
by DNS and the email client.
If you are using Piles domains in IMail, then yes, the email client needs to
have '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' as the user name. Sorry, only way I know to 'fix'
this is to have the user change his setup in his client.
As for 2 letter user accounts. There is a work around, but not a way to
change IMails requirement for 3 character account names. You can have
Aliases of 2 letters and have it forward to a 3 or more character users
mailbox. Those who had 2 char user names will need to change their login to
access the longer named mailbox. They can continue to use the 2 char email
address.
