Maybe the key to solving this problem is the interesting fact that there
seems to be a pattern in that most of us who are having issues have problems
some amount of time AFTER installing patch, server, etc. Like below, the
problem occurred after 30 hours. Perhaps this could be helpful in solving
this issue, since it seems to be the only common element.

no. Ipswitch must solve it, but they can't.

Yes. I was running NT 4.0 from 5.04 to 6.05 and we had this problem. Last
week, I installed a new server with W2K and imail 6.06 and migrate imail
from one machine to the other. After 30 hours running on the new
installation, smtp auth began to stop.

to run correctly. After 1 year having this problem we're migrating to
another mail server.
