I am implementing the web based version of IMail accross my LAN with a local
proxy server. I managed to get the product to:
send internally
receive internally
send externally
But one slight (!) problem is that I don't seem to be able to get it to
receive from external sources. I had a look at http://192.168.3.3:8181 - my
email server's IP and web admin port, and everything is running (green
background) apart from the SMTP service (red background displaying TCP-1).
Obviously this is the problem. I have stopped, started, uninstalled,
re-installed the SMTP service on my BDC.
I did have a look at the MS KB, but this points me in the direction of the
SMTP service not having exclusive access to port 25, but I don't run
anything else like that on my BDC. . .
