I wonder if it is a iMail/Messenger issue. But the fact that you have
been running in IMAP mode for 2 years and just encountered this problem
for the first time makes me scratch my head.
I have other problems with IMAP that are most likely due to iMail
server:
1) the attachment of a forwarded message does not display.
2) some messages are unreadable in Messenger, Messenger will just
sit there waiting and then display a memort error.
3) If copy-to-sent is enabled in Messenger and the sent folder is on
IMAP server, it takes an excruciatingly long time to copy a
message with a large attachment to the sent folder.
Have you experienced these problems?

Yes, we're using 6.06 and I'm also using Messenger 4.76. We've been
