I have multiple users who use OE of varying versions including IE5.5SP1 at times getting the message:

"Message is no longer available on the server"

It happens randomly seemingly on newly received messages only. The cure seems to be to go into OPTIONS/MAINTENANCE and RESET or DELETE the locally saved copies of the messages.
